If you want to visit Tuscany our place is second to none, because we are only an hour away from important historical cities Lucca is 45KM Pisa 60 km, Florence 70 km, Siena 140 km. and the versilia sea 60 km. In winter Abetone, a well-known ski-resort, with more than 50 km of ski routes 25 min. away. It is also National Park of the appennines. Our place is just 100 mt on the Lima river perfect for fishing.




The B & and B
B & B Scacco Matto is on the Appennines at 400 m a.s.l. on the Lima river. It is surrounded by chestnut trees in the middle of mountains reaching 2000 metres a.s.l. One Km away you will find Popiglio, a typical town with shops. A real italian breakfast with fresh home-made jam or if you prefer grilled sausages, prosciutto, typical cheese, oven baked bread all with our honey will be served on the terrace overlooking the Lima river or in your rooms.
